KASYM

 

KASYM (about  1448-1518), the khan since 1511, one of founders of the Kazakh khanate, the son of khan Zhanibek. By 1513 Sairam near Syr-Darya and areas Semirechye took over Kasym of the khan. At the time of board Kasym of the khan of border of the Kazakh khanate in the south, reached the right coast of Syr-Darya, captured many Turkestan cities, in the southeast — the most part of Zhetysu steppes, in the North and the northeast extended to Ulytausky and Balkhash valleys. According to data Mohammed Haidar Dulati, in times Kasym of the khan Kazakhs (1 million people) as a self-sufficient nationality became known in Western Europe.
